Happy New Year and welcome to our blog page. Tricia decided that this might be an easier and better way of keeping in touch with friends and family (instead of constantly emailing them).
We can't believe it has been 5 months already since we moved. We are loving it down here in southeast VA and can't beat the weather. The kids haven't been complaining too much about not having any snow since they have been able to ride their bikes around.
The kids had a very long Christmas break...16 days...and according to them, went by too fast. Tricia was so happy that Ted took 12 days off (mainly because the shipyard was "closed") from work. Tricia was grateful that her sister, Tina, hosted Christmas dinner and the only thing she had to bring was a side dish. We traveled to Ted's mom's home in MD the day after Christmas and got to see Ted's sister, Amy, who flew in from OR and Ted's aunt, uncle and cousin. Ted's mom took us to Gettysburg, PA. It is a quaint area and the National Park Service just built and opened a new visitors center for the Gettysburg Battlefield. A few days after that, we took a day trip up to Quantico, VA and visited the National USMC Museum. The kids loved it and it is definitely worth the trip if you ever travel up or north on I-95...you can see it from the highway.
Everyone is getting back into the groove of things. We hope you and your families are doing well.
